Sport of Champions

I bet your wondering what in the world is a sport of champions. Obviously it's baton twirling! Most people have no clue what that is so I'll explain. First of all, the baton that we use is a metal stick(and yes it is really metal and really hurts when it bonks you on the head) with rubber tips at the ends. You can spin it around, toss it into the air, and a lot more things, but it really hard to explain in writing. You have to experience it. Most people see them in front of a parade, a person twirling a baton in front of the band, the flag tossers and even the banner holders. It's great being in the spotlight. We even have competitions. I'm very inexperienced in solo activities, but our team won 6th place at Nationals that took place in Notre Dame, Indiana two years ago. Next year in July, my team is going to go to Daytona, Florida for a different competition. I can't wait! Baton twirling is really a sport for champions
